I read the articles in the business magazines all the time. Apparently they are supposed to motivate me. Someone starts a business on a shoestring and within one or two years they are on the cover of Forbes Magazine. These articles always seem to tell the story of how a particular entrepreneur met with horrible obstacles (for about five minutes, it would seem). Then, there is always the redemptive line that goes something like, “Within 18 months, however, their bottom line profits went from zero to $1.5 gazillion and they became one of the fastest growing small businesses in America.”

Recently we were lucky enough to hear the Reverand Lloyd G. Barrett from Denver’s famous Mile Hi Church give a speech about the importance of music in enhancing our creativity. Everyone thinks about music for relaxation or diversion, but the good reverend was making a point about its affect on our brains.
